HOW DO I CARE & MAINTAIN MY MBV HAIR

BE GENTLE!!!

Take your time and be gentle with the hair extensions. Treat it as though it’s your natural hair.

REGULAR WASHES!

If you are a person who wears wigs or your bundles everyday, I would recommend you wash and condition your hair extensions 1-2 times a month. But if you wear your wig or hair extensions 2-3 times a week then I recommend washing twice every 2 months.

Please use a good quality organic conditioner and sulphate free shampoo.

USE SULPHATE FREE PRODUCTS!

Most hair products contain sulphates and parabens, which can dry out hair extensions and reduce their longevity. De-hydrated hair can become tangled and cause split ends, yes raw hair can get split ends because they are made from 100% human hair. It is best to use hydrating products to nourish your hair extensions. Brands like; Redken, Elvive, Kerastase, Chi offer products that are good for raw hair extensions.

USE HEAT PROTECTANT!

Using a heat protectant helps shield your hair extensions from drying out and heat damage due to heat styling. I highly recommend using a water-based heat protectant rather than an oil-based formula.

STORE YOUR WIG CORRECTLY!

Mannequin heads are good for wigs you use daily and maintains the style. Satin bags like the one provided with your MBV wig is good for long term storage as it helps to reduce friction and tangling and keeps your wig clean from dust. Wig box like the one provided is also good for long term storage.
